Michael DiPietro is headed back to Windsor.
The Windsor Spitfires star goaltender played for the Vancouver Canucks Wednesday night.
He clocked just over 18min of ice time in the third periods against Calgary and stopped all 10 shots he faced.
DiPietro tells AM800 Sports, he had to treat it like any other game.
"You, know just kind of skated out there, took it all in, took it for what it's worth and obviously I'm pretty happy with the way I performed."
Another great experience at main camp representing the @Canucks ! So honoured to be drafted to such a great organization and city! That being said, looking forward to kicking the season off with @SpitsHockey very soon! See you soon Vancouver ????? pic.twitter.com/HvnmW39s3p

When the team hits the road to London on Friday, DiPietro is expected to make the trip.
"I think that's when the season is going to start for me, barring nothing happens but for myself it's business as usual come 9am at the WFCU Centre." he says. "I'm happy to be a Spitfire and get back in the net there in Windsor and hopefully I'll do my thing and kick off my final year here."
Windsor visits London Friday night, puck drops at 7:30pm with the pre-game show on AM800 starting at 7:05.
