The 2020 Detroit auto show has been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The show's venue, the TCF Center, formally known as Cobo Center, is set to be converted to a FEMA field hospital.
This was the first year the show was to be held in the summer instead of winter.
Michigan is becoming one of the major epicentres in the U.S. for the coronavirus.
As of Saturday, health officials had reported nearly 4,700 cases including 111 deaths across the state.
