Windsor will take over policing in the town in 2019
The people of Amherstburg have spoken.
As AM800 News told you earlier this week, residents had the chance to vote on two designs for the town's police cruisers.
The look of the cruisers is being changed for when Windsor takes over policing in the town in January 2019.
Two-thirds (66%) of those who voted at the "Ice Cream with a Cop" event at Navy Yard Park chose the winning design.
The side doors will feature Amherstburg’s heritage with 1812-era soldiers in their famous red coats, wielding muskets.
