The 25yearold singer was found unresponsive in her home on Tuesday

Pop star Demi Lovato is recovering in the hospital after an apparent drug overdose.

Lovato was rushed to Los Angeles' Cedars Sinai Medical Center after being found unconscious in her Hollywood Hills home Tuesday morning.

A representative for Lovato says she is awake and recovering with her family.

The statement didn't confirm or deny the reports that said Lovato was being treated for a drug overdose but did say some of the information being reported "is incorrect, "but didn't specify which was true and which was false.

The statement asks for privacy, not speculation, at this time.

Lovato has been open about her problems with drug an alcohol abuse. In a song released last month, she acknowledged that she had relapsed after six years of sobriety.
