Kids in the paediatric area of Windsor Regional Hospital will have a bit more fun this Halloween.
For the second year students at Sandwich Secondary School have decorated pumpkins to take to the children.
The 20 pumpkins were donated by Pepe's Pumpkins and the Joint Peer Helper Club put it all together.
Grade 12 student Christopher Lanno says they've been working on this for a bit.

"We just kind of rallied around the school and talked to everybody and got other people to join in. And it's just a good thing to give back, right. Come in at lunch, come in after school and on our spares to paint it. It took a little bit to get the orange away, but I mean they look good now"
Grade 12 student Julian David hopes this puts a smile on the kids' faces.

"We know how much that can impact the kids and they don't necessarily get to celebrate the different holidays like Halloween. So our way of giving back to them was painting up the pumpkins to give them something they could enjoy and still take part in Halloween"
Teacher Stephanie Katt started the project at the school.
"In the paediatric floor there are children that are here at Halloween and we thought it would be a great opportunity to provide those children with an opportunity to have a little bit of Halloween while they're here at the hospital"
