The deadline is coming up for those who want to make a comment on the Transportation Environment Study Report to possibly widen Highway 3.
As AM 800 news told you last month, Ontario Transportation Minister Steven Del Duca announced a 30-day public comment period for the possible expansion of the by-pass from Essex to Leamington.
At the time, Del Duca said it's an important step in the process and is required before the project can even be considered for funding.
The deadline ends December 12th.
A spokesperson for the ministry says the ministry continues to review comments.
Some of the recommendations in the Environment Assessment include a southerly shift of Highway 3 alignment away from the built-up area of the town of Essex, an overpass grade separation at Victoria Ave with no direct access to Highway 3 and a partial closure of the Highway 3/Ellis Sideroad intersection.
