A date has been set for striking Essex County library workers to vote on the Essex County Library Board's latest offer.
Last week, the board made an application to the Ministry of Labour for a supervised vote.
The vote will take place Tuesday, December 13 at Essex Arena from 8am to 9:30am.
CUPE 2974 and library management met with a provincial mediator November 25 for the first time since September.
Talks broke off only after eight hours.
Since then, the library board has presented its best and final offer to the union.
Today is the 165th day of the strike.
The 58 full and part time workers walked off the job on June 25 to back contract demands resulting in the closure of 14 Essex County Library branches.
