A bakery in Essex is working to raise money for the victims of the Humboldt Broncos bus crash in Saskatchewan.
'The Little House of Cupcakes' on Talbot St. N. will be selling green and yellow cupcakes today with all proceeds going to help the players and their families cope with expenses.
Owner Heather Richardson says they wanted to support the team. "We are going to be doing chocolate or vanilla with the Bronco colours for a swirl icing. Right now for orders alone, we're over 500 cupcakes and we're probably going to have that in the store to start and see how we go from there."
"When it comes to small communities we try to stick together and see what we can do to help out," says Richardson. "I would say try and get here as soon as you can, first thing in the morning, we open at 10am. We're going to be working all night to try and keep the showcase as full as we can until 6pm."
Money donated by the shop will be matched by 'Once Upon A Time' childcare in Essex.
