The Tigers fell to the Chicago Cubs 8-2 last night at Comerica Park.

Francisco Liriano was charged with the loss after giving up four runs on seven hits while walking two and striking out three in five and one third innings.

Ronny Rodriguez and Jim Adduci each had an RBI for Detroit.  

David Bote connected on the first of three Chicago home runs in the fifth inning.  

Javier Baez and Anthony Rizzo went back-to-back in the ninth for the other two.

Jon Lester earned his 14th win for the Cubbies, who split the two-game series with the Tigers.  Chicago is in first in the NL Central at 72-and-53.

The Tigers host the Chicago White Sox tonight to begin a four game series.

Matthew Boyd starts for Detroit in the opener, while James Shields gets the nod for Chicago.
