AM800 news has learned the CS Wind plant on Anchor Dr. has been sold

A wind turbine plant in east-Windsor is off the market.

AM800 news has learned CS Wind has sold its 28-acre plant on Anchor Dr. for $12-million through Toronto's Binscarth Holdings.

Earlier this year, officials were tight lipped about on the fate of the factory, but in March only two vehicles were parked at the facility and former employees suggested the company had closed the plant.

The plant opened in 2011 as part of a multi-million dollar deal with Ontario's Feed-In Tariff Program for renewable energy sources. CS Wind also received incentives from the city

At its peak, the plant employed around 500 people.
