Theres a fiveway tie for the first round lead in Oakville

Mackenzie Hughes is two shots off the lead after the first day of play at the Canadian Open.

The Dundas native was the low Canadian after a 5-under at Glen Abbey Golf Course.

First-round action was suspended due to darkness.

There's a five way tie for the lead at seven under with Hudson Swafford, Brandon Hagy, Kevin Chappell, Matt Every, Ollie Schniederjans, and Tyrone Van Aswegen all shooting 65.

World number one, Dustin Johnson shot five under 67.
