Multiple charges have been laid after a crime spree that came to an end in Tecumseh.
On Monday May 6, Windsor police officers spotted a vechile in the 2200 block of Huron Church Rd. just north of the Expressway, with stolen plates.
When police approached the male to tell him he was under arrest. He fled in the car striking two other parked cars.
Officers engaged in pursuit but quickly called it off in the interest of public safety.
Once the driver of the vehicle was positively identified, police also learned he was wanted for a gas theft and possession of stolen property from an offence that occurred in the Town of Tecumseh.
The next day, officers saw the vehicle again being driven by the same person, this time in the 1200 block of Demarse Ct. near Renaud St. in the Town of Tecumseh.
When police approached again, the suspect driver reversed, striking a Windsor police cruiser. No injuries were reported.
After driving through a grass lot and eventually fleeing on foot, officers were able to arrest the man.
During a search of the vehicle, officers found suspected methamphetamine, as well as some property that was later confirmed to be stolen.
A 27-year-old man of no fixed address is facing multiple charges including possession of stolen property, fail to stop for police, theft and possession of a controlled substance.
