With an influx of patients seeking COVID-19 testing, local health officials are reminding the public results can be accessed online.
The Windsor-Essex County Health Unit, Windsor Regional Hospital and Erie Shores Healthcare have been getting a high volume of calls from people asking about results and to free up phone lines residents are being asked to check online first.
According to a release, those who test positive will be contacted by either the hospital or health unit as soon as possible.
Results for those showing symptoms of COVID-19 should be available within 24 to 48-hours while those who are asymptomatic may have to wait up to seven days for results.
A link to check your results can be found on the eHealth Ontario Portal— you'll need your health card number to do so.
Assessment and testing centres remain open at Windsor Regional Hospital's Ouellette Campus and at Erie Shores Health Care in Leamington.
