The re-construction of County Road 22 and Manning has entered a new phase.
County Rd 22 is now down to a single lane in each direction, so double left-turns can be installed at Manning Rd.
The phase will take several weeks.
County Engineer Tom Bateman says drivers noticed the change Thursday morning.
"This morning the traffic seemed to be moving fairly well," he says. "We're going to monitor the performance of that intersection in particular in regards to the traffic signal timing to ensure we can move that traffic now that there's capacity restrictions."
Bateman says Manning Road remains open but will close in a few weeks.
"The next stages will require some closures but we will be communicating those particulars as we get closer."
The entire $6.9-million project will be done by November.
