Budget deliberations are around the corner for Essex County Council.
County Treasurer Rob Maisonville says each department has reviewed the draft document and it's close to being finalized.
He says the budget process for 2017 has been challenging.
"We're seeing pressures in response times with EMS, we're seeing pressures with our long-term care, we're seeing pressures with our roads. We're seeing our roads deteriorating quicker than we other wise thought so there are a lot of pressures but we'll manage and put together a report that's good for council," says Maisonville
Budget deliberations will take place on February 1st.
Last year, county residents saw a 1.85 percent increase.
