The County of Essex has a new Emergency Co-coordinator.
Former paramedic, Dan Metcalfe has spent 25 year in EMS, most recently at Essex-Windsor.
He has held a number of roles in emergency services and emergency management training.
Metcalfe says he'll be working closely with staff within the member municipalities and the City of Windsor: "I'll be connecting our municipal emergency management coordinators and partners with the rest of the county and the city so that people are informed and prepared and we can mitigate and prevent some of the hazards from occurring if we can," says Metclafe.
Metcalfe was officially appointed to the job October 3rd. He replaces Phil Berthiaume, who recently retired.
