The Essex County library workers had a taste of work again.
CUPE Local 2974 hosted a book swap Saturday in Kingsville.
Spokesperson Lori Wightman says this was a good way to give back to the community, especially to low-income families who may be out of books.

She says it was also a great day for the library workers.
"It's a little bit of a moral boost again. We love our jobs, we want to be back doing them in the libraries, but we also don't want people to go without. Today was the first book swap we had, but we're already thinking of doing another one in the future in another community."
Wightman says the available books were either donated or from their own personal collection.
She says if people would like to donate books, they can connect with a library worker at one of the picket lines to coordinate a date to exchange.
