LaSalle police are warning the public to keep an eye out after a cougar sighting in town.
Police report at about 8:30am on Wednesday, two residents report seeing what's believed to be a cougar walking behind homes in the 2500-block of Todd Lane near the border between the town and the City of Windsor.
The residents report the suspected cougar disappeared into the bush. The residents weren't able to get a picture of the animal.
Police searched the area and found large tracks consistent with what the residents had reported, but lost the trail.
The LaSalle Police Service is advising residents to be alert when out on trails when by themselves or with their pets.
