Some west Windsor residents are going to have to take some extra steps to get their mail.
Canada Post has confirmed that mail delivery to customers on College, Curry and McKay Avenues in Windsor has been temporarily interrupted for safety reasons, because of road construction.
"Daily delivery attempts have been made and completed when it is safe to do so. The safety and security of our delivery agents and the mail is of utmost importance," says Canada Post Spokesperson Hayley Mahermans.
The corporation says it will install temporary community mailboxes for the residents whose mail delivery has been affected by the construction.
They will be notified and receive instructions on where to pick up their keys.
Until then, mail can be picked up at the facility at 4255 Walker Rd.
