The "Canada Day Charity Challenge" will be the newest venture for the Windsor Championship.
This event will take place on Monday July 1st and will feature PGA TOUR players Adam Hadwin and Corey Conners playing a 9 hole pro-am in the morning and a 9 hole skins game in the afternoon for a $10,000 purse.
This is going to be the first time an event like this has been hosted in Canada with the top two players in the Country coming to Ambassador Golf Club.
Local golf fans to see Canada's top two players go head to head in a battle for a $10,000 purse and bragging rights as the inaugural winner of the Canada Day Charity Challenge.
Last year's tournament had over 6,000 fans show up, and more than $110,000 was raised for the Hospice of Windsor/Essex.
Ambassador's Director of Golf, Adam Wagner tells AM800 it's going to be a tremendous day of golf on Monday July 1st, involving Hadwin and Conners.
"They are going to come over to Ambassador Golf Club on Monday July 1st on Canada Day and we're going to do a 9 hole Pro-Am in the morning and then we'll have a private lunch for some of the guests, and we'll do a 9 hole skins game in the afternoon."
Wagner says the public will be able to come out and watch the top two Canadian's go head to head.
Tickets are available, they will go on sale tomorrow morning at Ambassador Golf Club, and they are $20.00 dollars and kids 18 and under are free, and the $20.00 admission will get you admission to the entire day."
