Over 200 athletes and 100 coaches from across the country are in Windsor for the Canadian Artistic Swimming Championship.
So far, there's nothing but glowing remarks for the Windsor International Aquatic and Training Centre following the first practice session Tuesday morning.
Swimmer Grace Kaiser spoke with CTV Windsor about the host venue. "It's a really nice pool, compared to our pool back home it's gorgeous."
Erika Lindner is president of the Waterloo Regional Synchronized Swim Club and requested that the event be held in Windsor. "The aquatic centre being right across from all the hotels in Windsor makes it the ideal place — it really becomes like an athlete village."
Windsor is hosting the event without having a synchronized team.
The national competition runs until Saturday.
