The community is stepping up to help an Essex daycare after the devastating fire Saturday morning.
Director Donna Hedrick says everything was wiped out in a blaze at the Story Book Early Learning Centre.
She says residents have been coming forward offering help in any way.
"I just want to let people know that the response from our community has been extremely overwhelming," Hedrick says. "So positive. Our program and staff, we all really appreciate that. Just know that we are proactive and moving forward looking for a temporary location."
Hedrick says the community always helps in times of need.
"To see it first hand is extremely overwhelming," she says. "People are offering buildings and locations, and cleaning out their own personal toys and materials that have at home. They're just offering everything and anything. We just have to pull it all together, and connect all the dots so we can open and continue to provide service for our families."
She says the biggest struggle has been notifying clients since all their records were destroyed in the fire.
Hedrick says they are creating a Facebook page so people can get in touch with them and they can rebuild their database.
