The city's Development and Heritage Standing Committee has agreed to move forward with a Community Improvement Plan in Windsor's wards two and three.
The plan includes improvements on Wyandotte Street and University Avenue, west of Crawford Avenue — an area which has seen several recent commitments to redevelop derelict properties including the former Grace Hospital site.
The report identifies what's already vibrant and stable in the area, public works enhancements, areas in the midst of transition and vacant land in need redevelopment.
The CIP will now go before council for final approval.
