Windsor police, along with the Ministry of Transportation, removed 12 commercial motor vehicles from service this week due to safety violations.

Police say a temporary inspection centre was set-up in the 8700 block of McHugh St.
Nineteen vehicles were inspected and 37 charges were laid.
The focus of the blitz was to educate drivers about unsafe CMV's and compliance with road safety regulations.
