People in Windsor's downtown are getting a chance to have a coffee with a cop.
The program is a partnership with Windsor Police, the Downtown Windsor BIA and Downtown Community Collaborative.
At various locations throughout the core police officers are meeting with whoever wants to come to chat.

Sergeant Gary Williams says this is a positive idea and takes him back to when he was walking a beat.
"Calls for service are up, we're busy as a police service, I think everybody's busy because it's just the nature of the beast, and it's a great opportunity for us to get back to our roots" says Williams.
Sarah Cipkar with the DWCC hopes this happens again.
"Oh definitely, I hope it happens more regularly." says Cipkar "A lot of our residents really value the time with police officers to ask questions, learn more about what they're doing and like Jennifer said there's a lot exciting changes happening so yeah it's been good"
Jennifer Escott with Bike Windsor Essex appreciates the opportunity to learn more about policing.
"Some of the issues that we deal with are ones they deal with" says Escott "and I'm really learning an enormous amount of amazing efforts that are going on in the police that I had no idea about"
Inspector Tammy Fryer says it's a chance to have informal conversations wiht residents without an agenda or any pressure.
