Damage is pegged at $45,000 after a house fire in Kingsville.
Crews were called to a home on Summerset Ave. near Heritage Rd. around 3am on Monday.
Chief Chuck Parsons says the blaze was in the kitchen area and started by a coffee maker.
He says the cause has been listed as accidental.
"The occupants had evacuated the house," says Parsons. "They had heard something in the kitchen and had smelled smoke however they did have working smoke alarms in the house and they were able to get out prior to the smoke alarms going off."
He adds there were working smoke alarms in the home.
"Everything worked out very well," says Parsons. "We were able to get in and get out very quick knock down on the fire and most of the damage occurred in the kitchen area as well as smoke throughout the house."
There were no injuries.
