There are just a couple of days left to donate to the annual Coats for Kids Campaign in Windsor-Essex.
In danger of closing down because of a lack of support and storage space, the local program was saved earlier this month when a Cintas Uniform Services stepped up.
The program is run through the Unemployed Help Centre and CEO June Muir says over 1,200 coats were dropped off on Monday.
"They were all washed at Cintas, they were hung on hangers, and they dropped them off so we were able to put them on racks and then we were able to box them up for the seven distribution sites," says Muir."

Time is quickly winding down, and Muir says coats are only being collected until Thursday.
"We still are in need of coats," she says. "We have approximately 2,500 coats and we normally collect 5,000."
The distribution part of the program starts Saturday, November 9th, explains Muir, saying "Some sites are open all week, some sites are open two days, and the distribution time is usually one week in duration. But if you need a coat after that, you can still call the Unemployed Help Centre and we're there to help."
The Coats for Kids program will provide coats to over 5,000 kids in Windsor-Essex this winter.
