A central Windsor foodbank that was forced to close Monday is seeing a wave of donations from the community and will re-open Friday afternoon.
The Kids First Food Bank at the Windsor Homes Coalition simply ran out of food and had to shut down.
After hearing the story on AM800, many individuals, organizations and businesses have stepped up to the plate.
People hearing about the need like Ryan, dropping off boxes of items who didn't want a lot of attention, hoped others would follow suit.
"I just kind of want to keep low key, everybody should be doing that themselves — you shouldn't have to be told to do the right thing," says Ryan.

Sonny Lachapelle is the Coordinator of Development for the food bank, he says they're working to build a solid supply.
"We're looking to engage some local businesses and see if they would possibly be willing to give small donations on an ongoing monthly basis to help keep the food bank supplied," he says.
Last October there were just over 600 clients for the entire month, but this month it jumped to 90 people per day.
