Midway through its month-long gun amnesty, the O-P-P says it has collected close to 270 weapons.
Officers have picked up restricted, prohibited, replica and vintage weapons, along with more than 52-hundred pieces of ammunition — including some hollow-point bullets.
The gun amnesty program is in effect until April 30th for anyone who wants to voluntarily surrender unwanted or illegally owned weapons.
Police say officers will be sent to pick up the weapons and people should not try to deliver them to a police station.
