Clean-up continues this morning after a heavy wind whipped across Windsor-Essex.
Wind gusts reached up to 90-kilometers-an-hour yesterday and even higher in some areas.
Along with downed trees and power lines, a number of homes had shingles ripped right off.
At 'Up Top Roofing' in Windsor, manager Randy Comeau says the phones have been ringing off the hook.
"We do a lot of repair work for restoration companies. We're pretty busy all the time, but this is out of the norm," says Comeau.
Meteorologist Mark Robsinon, a storm chaser with The Weather Network, says it's not out of the ordinary to see a wind like this in March.
"We get those kind of storms at this time of year. We get a very, very fast-moving jet stream that sort of kicked up these storms," says Robinson.
Hydro One is still dealing with small pockets of power outages across Essex County.
At one point, more than 68,000 people across Ontario were without power.
