The Class of 2019 Inductees for the Windsor Essex County Sports Hall of Fame have been announced.
The list includes nine individuals in the athlete and building categories plus two teams.
Former University of Windsor Football Head Coach Mike Morencie is being inducted.
He has been coaching in Windsor-Essex for 41-years.
"I've coached from Windsor-West Little League to the University of Windsor and they all had an aspect of them that was joyful as hell," says Morencie. "I wouldn't coach if I wasn't having fun and I've coached from little league up to CIS sports. I've enjoyed the kids, enjoyed their parents, enjoy the rivalries, the competitiveness and all that kind of stuff."

Morencie says he's excited to share the honour with his coaching colleagues.
"A bunch of people that were very instrumental getting me into coaching are in the hall and I'm honoured to join them and I hope their proud that somebody that played for them a long long long time ago made it to the hall as well so it's nice in that respect," says Morencie.
Other inductees include Kyle Wellwood, Eddi Chittaro, Linda Micelli, Virginia McLachlan, Dan MacLelland, Pat Dumouchelle, Richard Scott and Mary Ann Pinsonneault.
The Windsor Curling Club and the Windsor Stars Senior Baseball team from 2008-2013 are also being honoured.
The inductees will officially enter the hall at a ceremony in October.
The Sports Hall of Fame is located at the Windsor International Aquatic and Training Centre in downtown Windsor.
There are also two satellite sites at the WFCU Centre and the Leamington Kinsmen Recreation Complex.
