A four-year-old Windsor girl wants to give back to Windsor Regional Hospital's neonatal intensive care unit.
Leilyne Duquette is collecting sleepers as well as cash donations for the unit.
Her mother Amber Duquette says her daughter was born premature and spent some time in the NICU.
Duquette says her daughter thought of collecting the sleepers on her own.
"She thought it would be a great idea," says Duquette. "I was actually very curious to see how it would go and she's been really great and she's been really good with collecting and she's having a lot of fun doing it and I'm very proud of her for that."
Duquette says the response has been overwhelming.
"We're very surprised and grateful,"says Duquette. "As of right now she has 50 sleepers and about $300 in money donations that we're going to be using to put bags together for the parents with toiletries and gift cards."
Duquette says her daughter began collecting last week.
She says she'll continue to collect until December 19th and deliver the sleepers to the unit on December 21st.
