The City of Windsor is encouraging residents to use its newly upgraded Windsor 311 mobile app to report non-emergency municipal concerns.
The free app allows users to submit service requests 24 hours a day, seven days a week, upload photos, pinpoint locations and track the status of requests directly from their smartphone.
Allison Charko, project manager at the city’s customer contact centre, says the update is part of a broader effort to make municipal services easier to access online.
“We wanted to make this digital experience a little easier and more intuitive for the residents,” Charko said.
“This version provides modern look and feel, it has a streamlined report submission and it’s easier to search, and has better map features.”

Charko says more than 50 types of service requests are now available through the app.
“We continue to add new request types every day, so you’re encouraged to check back often,” she said.
“Common request types that people tend to use include issues in parks, graffiti, potholes, street light outages, things like that. Sort of the see it and report it type issues.”
She says the Windsor 311 app has come a long way since it first launched seven years ago.
“When looking at the data, in 2025 residents submitted more than 10,000 service requests through the app, and we’re seeing the growth continue every day,” said Charko.
The Windsor 311 app is available through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, while residents can also submit requests through the city’s website or by calling 3-1-1.
