Answers are being sought over intermittent power outages in Windsor’s east end.
Ward 7 Councillor Angelo Marignani asked during Monday’s city council meeting that city administration seek a detailed root cause from ENWIN Utilities.
“I know there are some reasons; they’re improving some equipment, and when they switch over, that’s a reason for it. I just want a timeline, so residents are better prepared in the future when this problem happens,” he says.
Marignani says he’s been getting complaints from residents in the East Riverside and Forest Glade neighbourhoods and wants more details and a timeline for when this will end so people don’t have to worry about an interruption.
“My biggest concern is I have some residents on medical equipment. Their interruptions aren’t a good thing. It’s a bad thing when you’re on oxygen or when you’re on other equipment. By giving residents more information, they’re able to better protect themselves from those little outages,” he says.
An update is expected to be brought back to a future meeting of the city council.
