The City of Windsor is opening the doors to applications for the first round of its Arts, Culture and Heritage Fund grant program.
The grant will bring money to cultural organizations and individuals to help boost creative and economic growth.
Since 2014, the ACHF program has dished out over $218,000 to 106 projects in the city.
"The ACHF program assists in supporting exciting and engaging concepts which have a strong potential to help grow and develop audiences and a greater appreciation for arts in Windsor," says Cathy Masterson, manager of cultural affairs for the City of Windsor.
Grants typically range between a $1,000 and $5,000 and have been used to fund a full length album, equipment purchases and last year even helped support the Jewish Film Festival in Windsor along with other artist performances and exhibitions.
The application deadline for the first round of funding is March 17 at 3pm. The second round opens on August 21 and ends with the deadline set for 3pm on September 22.
A public information session will be held during each application window to help people understand the process.
The session for the first round is set for February 22 at 5:30pm at Coach House at Willistead Manor. The second hasn't yet been set.
