Consumer Reports is out with its annual list of the top automotive brands.
When it comes to problem free, strong performance and safety, Subaru ranks at the top of the list — that's up six spots from the previous year.
According to the report, Chrysler had the biggest drop falling 11 spots to 22nd on the list with the automaker being hurt by reports from owners about problems with in-car electronics and transmissions in both the 300 sedan and the Windsor-built Pacifica minivan.
Consumer Reports averages an overall score for all vehicles tested based on four main elements — a road test, predicted reliability, owner satisfaction and key safety features.
