A shake-up at Unifor Local 444.
AM800 news has learned, President Dino Chiodo has stepped down.
He met with local's executive team on Friday to announce his resignation.
Sources say Chiodo has accepted a job with the union's national office as the automotive director.
He begins his new role with the national on August 1st.
Chiodo has been president of Local 444 since 2012 replacing Rick Laporte.
During his time as president, he led the Chrysler negotiations as well the Caesars Windsor contact talks and negotiations at local feeder plants such as Dakkota, TRW, Oakley and HBPO.
First-Vice President James Stewart is expected to be named Local 444's new president.
