A grade six student from St. Gabriel elementary school took over the Windsor Police Service on Thursday.
Andrew Wigeluk was named 'Chief For A Day' after winning a city wide contest. "I had to write a letter to the police office for VIP and out of all the Grade 6 students in Windsor I won, so I guess that means I'm chief for the day," says Wigeluk.
In his letter, Wigeluk says he talked about his interest in policing. "I wrote about how when I took a trip to Devonshire Mall, to see all their security work, I was interested in how that stuff like policing and guard stuff," he says.
Along with wearing a special shirt, Wigeluk also got to have lunch with more than a dozen of Windsor's most senior police officers.
