A recall has been issued for chicken nuggets sold in several provinces across Canada.
According to an alert issued by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency, Crisp and Delicious brand frozen chicken-nuggets have been recalled
Packages weighing 1.6-kg with a best before date of July 19, 2019 may have been contaminated with Salmonella.
The nuggets are distributed by Sofina Foods Inc. in Ontario, British Columbia, Manitoba and Quebec.
Recalled products should be thrown out or returned to the store where they were purchased for a refund, according to the alert.
Food contaminated with Salmonella may not look or smell spoiled but can still make you sick. The CFIA advises anyone who experiences symptoms after eating the product to see a doctor.
They include short-term symptoms such as fever, headache, vomiting, nausea, abdominal cramps and diarrhea.
