The mayor of Chatham-Kent says the clean up continues following last month's flooding.
Randy Hope says town officials are still picking up debris and are still assessing the damage in Chatham and Thamesville.
In late February, a State of Emergency was called and a voluntary evacuation was ordered after the Thames River peaked.
Hope says the municipality is trying to assist the community.
"We've held information sessions both in Thamesville and Chatham," says Hope. "I mean people are going through their insurances where they can and where they can't understanding the process and filling out applications and getting the paper work in."

Hope adds the community is working together.
"It's a big community with a big heart and people are still trying to help one and other where we can," says Hope. "But let's face it when residents with their homes need help, people are gathering together as a community and when businesses needing help, they put the call out, people are helping."
The province has activated its Disaster Recovery Assistance for Ontarians program for Chatham and Thamesville.
The program provides reimbursement of expenses incurred but may also offer interim payments to those who need up front help.
