The province is helping out a couple of municipalities in southwestern Ontario with few public transportation options.
As part of the Ontario Community Transportation Grant Program, Leamington is receiving $606,000 and Chatham-Kent gets $500,000.
The money will be used to partner with community organizations to co-ordinate local transportation services, so more rides can be provided to more people.
The program is handing out $30-million over five years to 39 municipalities.
