A gas leak in Chatham.
Police, fire and utility services were called to the area of Scane Street just before 11 a.m. Tuesday and homes were evacuated as well as on Foster Street as a precaution. Residents have since been allowed to return home.
Enbridge Gas crews say the leak was caused by a loose connection underground and repairs are underway.
Roadways in the affected area remain closed, but police say there is no immediate danger.
The Windsor Fire Hazmat team is on standby as a precaution.
