Residents of several town-houses were displaced by an early-morning fire in Chatham.
Firefighters arrived to find the laundry-room of a town-home at 349 Sandy St. ablaze around 12:30am Sunday.
Everyone got out of the home before Chatham Fire and Rescue arrived. Firefighters were able to contain the fire to the laundry room, but the home suffered heavy smoke damage.
A clothes-dryer is being blamed for the fire. Damage is estimated at $80,000.
Nobody was injured.
