Police say a man was sent to hospital with lifethreatening injuries

An arrest has been made after a stabbing in downtown Windsor.

Officers were called to Wyandotte St. E. near Parent Ave. on Wednesday night and found a man suffering from life-threatening injuries.

Windsor Police Service says there had been an argument between two people who are known to each other which escalated into a physical confrontation.

The suspect fled on foot but was identified and located three hours later early Thursday morning on Glengarry near University Ave. and was found to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine.

Jonathan Beck, 25, of Windsor is charged with aggravated assault, possession of suspected methamphetamine, and four counts of breaching probation.
