A Windsor man has been charged after a cab driver was stabbed over the weekend.
Police were called Saturday, March 16 at 2:50am to Wyandotte St and Sunset for a report of a stabbing near the University of Windsor where a cab driver was stabbed following a confrontation with two passengers.
On Wednesday, March 20, two suspects, a man and woman, turned themselves in at Windsor Police Headquarters.
It was determined the woman was not directly involved in the stabbing and she was released without charges.
Blerim Ahmeti, 20, of Windsor is charged with aggravated assault, assault with a weapon and failing to comply with a recognizance.
The taxi driver was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
