Charges have now been laid after a rash of overnight robberies in Windsor.
Windsor police investigated six robberies early Monday morning.
The first happened at a convenience store on Ouellette Ave. just before midnight between Ellis and Erie.
Other robberies took place on Campbell Ave. Tecumseh Rd. East, two on Walker Rd. and Wyandotte St. East.
A suspect was armed with a blunt object.
A surveillance image of the suspect was released and police say the public response was tremendous.
At around 2:30 pm on Monday, officers went to a home on Laporte Ave and arrested the suspect.
Robert Davis, 55, is charged with six counts of robbery with a weapon.
