Windsor Police have charged a 46-year-old city man.
Police say on Saturday officers were called to an apartment building on Pillette Road near Ontario Street for a man exhibiting violent behaviour while holding a baseball bat.
Upon arrival officers spoke to a victim who told them he was involved in an alternation with the suspect.
The victim told police that he was able to leave the apartment but the suspect locked himself in a room.
According to police, officers made a number of attempts to make contact with the suspect through a barricaded door but did not get a response.
Police say officers from the Emergency Service Unit then forced opened the door and placed the suspect under arrest without incident.
46-year-old Lowell Campbell has been charged with utter threats, assault with a weapon, weapons dangerous, forcible confinement and two counts of breach of probation.
The suspect and the victim were known to each other.
