Charges Laid After Early Morning Stabbing

A 34yearold Windsor man is charged.

Around 3:30am Wednesday, police responded to a hospital call after receiving information that a patient had arrived with significant stab wounds.

Patrol officers met with a 42-year-old-male victim who was at the hospital with his 32-year-old female friend. Police found that the pair were at a residence in the 500 block of Riverdale Avenue near Menard St. when a man known to them arrived and forced his way into the residence. The two men fought which resulted in the male victim being stabbed, and an object was thrown toward the female. Wilfred St. Jean, 34, of Windsor, is charged with assault with a weapon, aggravated assault, break and enter, mischief under, and unlawfully in a dwelling.
