The Windsor Essex County Health Unit is saying goodbye to two of its key members.
After five-years with the health unit, CEO Dr. Gary Kirk will be moving on to work for the Government of Wisconsin.
Treasurer Rob Modestino is stepping down from his position after ten-years to focus on his business.
Dr. Kirk says he is grateful to the community for the support the board has received over the years.
"The board has been very supportive throughout. I think they have placed a great deal of confidence in me and the team of people that I work with, as well as the entire health unit that we move things in the right direction", says Kirk. "It has been a dream come true."
Dr. Wajid Ahmed, the board's current Associate Medical Officer of Health, will take over for Dr. Kirk on June 7th.
