In a tweet sent out Friday morning, the head of the Windsor-Essex Regional Chamber Of Commerce says he will be asking the board to sever ties with the Caboto Club because of the male-only board member policy and a previous constitution rule that disallowed those with physical deformities from becoming members.
Chamber President Matt Marchand says he will make recommendations based on the outcome of the Caboto Club's membership meeting this weekend.
I will be recommending to our Board that the Chamber sever its relationship with the Caboto and I am confident they will agree. @jclarkwindsor

"We have more than 800 members and many thousands of member employees and part of the tweet this morning was to get the discussion going on those two important issues," says Marchand. "We need clarity on the disability and we need to know what their plan is with respect to having women as members and what the go forward is on that."
Marchand says both policies are concerning and he wants clarity on what exactly the board member rules are.
Caboto Club President Dennis Segatto says the disability rule was changed in 2012.
